What is WeT?
WeT is stands for Waseela-E-Taleem.Waseela-E-Taleem is a extensive program of BISP.
Waseela-E-Taleem was created by BISP in meeting with all the program partners WeT Programme, a Co-duty Cash Transfer (CCT) Program of BISP that was started to giving support for completing primary education from 4 to 12 years of age children's of BISP recipient families for their enrolments in schools. Every recipient kid gets the money of PKR 750 for each quarter. After gathering the confirmation of admission first quarter and participation attendance of 70% in the 2nd quarter. For the resulting quarter it's necessary to fulfill the essential instruction. It is a piece of the Graduation system meaning to interface the Unconditional Cash Transfer (UCT) to the achievement of human advancement objectives. The Waseela-E-Taleem Programme is essentially contributing towards following three Sustainable Development Goals which have been as of late marked by Honorable Prime Minister of Pakistan (Muhtrma Benazir Butto) together with world pioneers:
- SDG 1:Ensure inclusive and equitable quality education and the promotion of lifelong learning opportunities
- SDG 2:End poverty in all its form
- SDG 3: Achieve gender equality & empower all girls and women
History of Waseela-e-Taleem:
Initially in November 2012, Waseela-E-Taleem was launched in 5 pilot regions with the assistance educational department of that region as a test phase. After a successful startup in January 2015 program was extended to 25 new districts, later on in 2018 18 more districts from all regions/provinces of Pakistan were included in the program. In the year 2019-20 Waseela-E-Taleem is implemented in 50 districts from all over the country.
